Welcome to our gîte in the Cévennes. Converted in 2016 it was built into an old ‘cave’ used to produce and store wine and vineyard farming equipment. It lies in the foothills of the Cévennes, just 15 minutes’ drive from the historic town of Anduze. The property is self-contained and perfect for 5 guests. It has use of the attached swimming pool with a covered outside dining area, and makes an ideal base for exploring the Cévennes national park or nearby tourist attractions like Nîmes and Uzès.
The gîte is situated on a hill top in the hamlet of Les Arnasseaux, within the fenced off property of our family home. On one side of the property is a field of grapevines and on the other is a local vineyard where you can buy a good selection of local wines. The accommodation includes a large double height living area with sofa and dining table. There is a bedroom on the ground floor which has two single beds which can be combined to make a double. Next to the bedroom is the bathroom which again is double height and has a shower. The remaining three beds, a double and a single, are on the mezzanine and overlook the living area. Underneath the mezzanine is the kitchen which has a full cooker with oven, dishwasher and combined fridge/freezer. Guests have exclusive access to the 12m long swimming pool for bookings between June and September. The pool is in a walled area accessible via two locked gates so children can have free access to the gîte without risk of getting into the pool area. Please be aware that rent of the gîte is on a weekly basis, Saturday to Saturday for the months of June, July and August. For the rest of the year there is a minimum stay length of 3 days. There is plenty of space to park cars on the property with covered space for 2-3 cars. Most guests arriving by plane fly to Montpellier and rent a car but there are also flights to Nîmes. The closest train station is Alès and the closest TGV station is Nîmes. As we currently live in the UK we have arranged for a neighbour to receive all guests. She’ll meet you on your arrival, show you around the property and get you settled. She can also be contacted if there are any issues during your stay and will arrange your departure logistics. Please note that some of the pictures were taken before the gîte was fully furnished so they are missing some items which are now in place like bedside tables. |

Bienvenue dans notre gîte situé aux abords des Cévennes. Converti en 2016 d'une ancienne grange qui a été utilisée pour produire du vin, il est indépendant et parfait pour 5 personnes. Une belle piscine et une terrasse couverte font partie de l’ensemble. Depuis notre gîte, vous pourrez découvrir les Cévennes ou des sites touristiques comme Nîmes et Uzès.
Nous sommes heureux de vous accueillir dans notre gîte. Il a été converti en 2016, construit dans une ancienne grange qui servait à produire et à stocker du vin et du matériel viticole. Il se trouve dans les contreforts des Cévennes, à seulement 15 minutes en voiture de la ville historique d'Anduze. Le gîte est situé dans un hameau au sommet d'une colline, dans la propriété clôturée de notre maison familiale. D'un côté de la propriété se trouve une vigne et de l'autre un vignoble où vous pouvez acheter une bonne sélection de vins du coin. Le logement comprend un grand salon/salle à manger qui occupe toute la hauteur du bâtiment. Au rez de chaussée vous trouverez une cuisine équipée d’une cuisinière (avec four), d’un lave-vaisselle et d’un réfrigérateur/congélateur; une salle de bains avec WC et douche; et une chambre avec deux petits lits qui peuvent être convertis en grand lit. Un escalier vous amène à la mezzanine où se trouvent deux lits, un grand et un petit. Pour toute location de juin à septembre les clients peuvent profiter d’une belle piscine de 12 mètres, dont l’enceinte est accessible par deux portillons fermés à clé. Cela permet d’interdire l’accès aux enfants non-accompagnés. Il y a beaucoup de place pour garer les voitures dans la cour, avec un espace couvert pour 2-3 voitures. La plupart des clients arrivant par avion atterrissent à Montpellier et louent une voiture mais il existe aussi des vols vers Nîmes. La gare la plus proche est celle d’Alès et la gare TGV la plus proche est celle de Nîmes. Quelqu’un sera là pour vous aider à vous installer.
